Born in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California, La Mala Influencia is a latin rock powerhouse with a uniquely multilayered sound reminescent of the best days of the Rock en Español scene (the 80s and 90s), but with a much more modern twist. Their finely crafted songs filled with dark, sarcastic lyrics and increasingly interchanging chord structures found mainly in classical music, will hook you from start to finish. They are currently promoting their debut album "Mucho Por Vivir," written by Colombian singer/songwriter/keyboardist Alex Rodriguez and produced by Guillermo Pascual (of Angeles del Infierno and Vilma Palma e Vampiros fame). El Salvador’s Freddy Aguirre (bass, backup vocals), and Mexico’s Eli Velez (guitar) & Luis Avila (drums) add their own stylish groove to an otherwise eclectic band that is perpetually rich in textures, influences, and ideas. p>
