Kenneth “Kenny” E. Faure born in Madisonville, Louisiana is an R&B/ Hip Hop singer/songwriter lighting up the music scene around the New Orleans area and expanding his musical presence across and outside the United States. He has a Maxie Single called “Sorry I Kept You” that was released on iTunes, Rapsody, and Amie Street music download websites in November 2009 with much success. Kenny’s singing interest began when he was just 4 years old sitting up in the church choir next to his singing grandmother. His soulful sound can also be attributed to old school sounds by the likes of Sly and the Family Stone, Donnie Hathaway, and Prince. He has also been influenced by the artistry of Elton John, Boyz II Men, and Donnell Jones, just to name a few. Kenny has performed and shared the stage with many artists over the years including Lil Wayne, Chante Moore, Kenny Lattimore, Levi Little (Black Street) just to name a few. He has also written music recorded by various artists. No Greater Love written by Kenny caught the attention of Sony Music Executives in 2006. “Music is my passion. I love listening to different genres. I can listen to anything and break down the instruments and dissect the notes. It’s amazing but that’s who I am. People ask me where my lyrics come from. They come from my own life experiences, things I hear that other people are going through and sometimes I just get a word or a tune in my head and just go with it. I have jumped up from my barber’s chair to work on something interesting that I just heard. It’s a trip but I have to do it, right then and there. It’s all about life, about love, and having a good time. I just want to share what comes from deep within me with the world. My music has something for everybody.” With songs like “Rain Check” to “Get Some” his soulful sound appeals to a wide arena of listeners from the rebounding heart to the crew kickin’ it at the club. This project began in December 2008, It’s has always been my dream to be a solo artist. Since December 2008, I’ve been in the studio recording. I have also done a few performances in Baton Rouge, LA , Covington, LA and New Orleans, LA. I released the single “Rain Check” in August 2009 which received a great response and airplay on Q93fm in New Orleans, LA. In November 2009, I released an EP single with the songs Rain Check, Get Some, and Dats Wuz Up on iTunes.
