The time of the female emcee and their intensity has died down in recent years. In fact ask yourself when was the last time you bought an actual rap album from a female artist? I couldn’t think of one either. Almost like fate Young Broad is ready to fill the hollowness that was left behind by MC Lyte, Missy Elliott, Foxy Brown and other artists who came before her to reclaim right to the air to the thrown. This Newark New Jersey born artist who now resides in the seclusion of the suburbs still has life lessons and street savvy that made her grow up faster than those around her. Named Young Broad because of her wide array of talent from rapping, producing, ghostwriting for other artists both hip hop and R & B. She has performed at the Training Camp in NY, to Car Show in North Carolina and has a fan base steadily growing.
Never coy or timorous she can be the only female presence on a lyrical barrage of male appearances and still be the most candid on the track. Not a stranger to being unwearied she been at this rap thing the last 9 years developing her craft from a dull rounded edge to tempering it in the fire of her past harsh experiences to a fine jagged point. Soft-spoken at first but quickly takes command on stage and she is a woman that is about making music and being business savvy.
With two mixtapes under her belt “” and “Thug’s Dream Wyfe” which brought songs like “4 for the Jeeps”, “Ping Pong”, “It Ain’t Over”, “Floor Sex”, “Get Buck”, “Rock you to Sleep”, “Teapot” ”Out The Box” and “Get it Out Ya Mind”. Her lyrical talents earned her a spot on the mixtape ”Let There Be Life Vol. 1” Her track “Million Dollar Dame” further solidified her as an up and coming force in the underground scene. Young Broad shows her sensual side without whoring herself out which seems to be the so called way to make an entrance into the game. She chooses not to sexually advance herself like the others instead she’s gaining respect one fan at a time. To add on to this she is the founder of Dime clip entertainment her newly founded facet for her production talents.
