About Young J.R.

Waukegan, IL

Before he reached the age of 16, Young J.R. (born Demetrius Gordon JR.)(CEO of Hoodii Boy Ent.) was already an ambitious artist and a seasoned businessman, wielding all the hit making requirements: producer, live entertainer, and abilities to write catchy hooks.

Born in 1994 in Waukegan, IL. Raised by his dad, Demetrius Gordon Sr. (CEO of DUV Entertainment) and his grandmother MaryLou Gordon. Young J.R. grew up as a humble young man with big ambitions. Maintaining a 3.7 grade average in honor classes at school, it came to no surprise that this young man started to write lyrics for others and himself at the age of 11. After gaining some local attention with his independent singles "Would it be real?" and "Came with those racks" along with some mix tape appearances, Young J.R. caught all the local dj’s attentions and was being welcomed at the local clubs with the audience chanting "Yeaaaahh!"

After making multiple trips to Atlanta to perform, the young entertainer found all the various connections to seriously pursue a musical career, shortly thereafter, he began to open for various artists such as Lil Boosie, Twista, Plies, T.I., Lil Wayne and more, helping to launch Young J.R. from a local sensation to a global entertainer. With the "Star Port: Leak" dropping in Atlanta, Young J.R. is being recognized throughout the Midwest to the South.

Young, dedicated and very ambitious, Young J.R. is the next big name to hit the music industry
