From the concrete Jungle we call New York, Ras Lopez was born. Ras excelled in high school and graduated at only the age of 16. With the decision of going to University in Miami, FL, Ras began to pursue his dream of Rapping and MCing.
But the streets of Miami were a little to surreal for Ras and he soon got caught up in the net of justice. At the early age of 17 Ras was on his own and soon found himself deep in the drug game. Caught up in this life of Crime, he lost everything. With his source of Miami income gone, Ras was left homeless.
Ras came to a cross road where he could play Russian roulette with his life, and jump back into the game even harder or come to the reality that fast money only goes as fast as it comes. Young and hard headed, Ras soon found himself in trouble getting caught by the feds.
After watching get rich or die trying, by 50 cent, “After you add up all the time on the block and possible jail time, hustling drugs makes less than minimum wage” Ras finally came to an epiphany.
After being locked up and serving probation, Ras focused more on his music and turning his life back around. Opening up for Redman, winning rap contest, and doing shows, music videos and opening up a studio, Ras is now the next to blow coming out with his 3rd mix tape, Green Light: GO! To signify his life on the streets.
Influenced by his New York heritage and other artist such as Jay-Z and Fabulous. Ras Lopez gives you that New York style with a little southern flavor. Look out for Ras Lopez AKA RasCity to come to a city near you!
