Sean Skyler is an up and coming singer/songwriter from Chicago. Sean's spent the past year playing nearly every venue in Chicago and opening for major acts like Everclear, Clayton Senne, and Mark Rose. Last summer he played Millennium Park sponsored by WTMX 101.9 the Mix and was selected for a back-to-school music download promotion for unsigned artists with Target Stores and Mead Notebooks
In the spring, he tracked his full band EP Big Mistake with veteran engineer/producer Michael Vail Blum (Madonna, Goo Goo Dolls, Julian Lennon). This will be Sean's first full band effort, when asked about it he said, "I'm sitting on about 3 records worth of material and I'm writing more every day. I think Big Mistake is a perfect introduction for what's to come, I can't wait to finally get it out there.
With this release he's quickly become a local radio/podcast favorite with features on Radio De Paul, Region Radio 98.3FM, and Earphoria. Currently Sean's hitting the show circuit playing both intimate solo acoustic shows and clubs with his full backing band. Ultimately he has hopes to use this record as a building block even with current state of the economy. "There's no getting around it, the industry is struggling just like every other business in town and the model is changing everyday. However, I think these are the kind of songs people need to hear right now, positivity can be a contagious thing and It's that blind faith that has gotten me through the most difficult points of my life.
