Lovesong is actually an ANTI-love song epitomized by the line 'This is a lovesong because I LOVE that you're gone'.I'd been hired to write songs for a soul singer and at our initial meeting he said "I'll sing anything,just don't write me any love songs!"On the hour-long drive back to my home the line above just fell into my head.By the time I got home I had 3 verses memorized,I ran down into my home studio,banged off a rough version and voila...Lovesong.
