Description
I wrote this song for my grandfather who passed on. This song is written as if my grandfather wrote it for Mary, his wife. Telling her that he's coming home to her after all these years of living without her.
Lyrics
I said baby put on that dress the one I seen you in last It's been a long time without you here. well me I'm just a ramblin' man I walk these streets and I take in all I can thats just the way it is oh tonight we'll dance like we use to dance. well it's been so long since I held you in these arms these tired arms and i've grown cold this chill that warms me to my bone. Oh sweet Mary darlin' turn your light on i'm coming home. I spend my time just waisting time. I watch the day through the kitchen blind hear the children play up the stairs where we used to stay. Well there aint no place I need to be and there aint no one I need to see it looks like time has had its way with me Oh tonight we'll dance like we use to dance. Well its been so long since I held you in these arms these tired arms and i've grown cold this chill that warms me to my bone oh sweet Mary darlin' turn your light on i'm coming home. Oh sweet Mary darlin' turn your light on......
