Richard Gilbert

I consider myself more of a songwriter first and singer second. My songs whether fictional or real tell about life and reflection.

I started playing guitar when I was 14. I never really mastered it. I just made it sound the way I wanted it to. I’ve been writing most of my life. But, more so over the last 10 years. I find it both a release and a way to connect.

I am from Fort Worth TX. My job has taken me to a few places. I lived in Arlington TX, Santa Fe NM, Los Lunas NM, Ruidoso, NM and Breckenridge TX. Before settling in Denton TX. I think this gave me an opportunity to see more than others.

Going through lifes ordeals and blessings. I have two great son’s. One with the Peace Corps in Macedonia and the other with his wonderful wife in S Korea.

So, I travel…I sing…I write…I play…life isn’t so bad.
