As Brian Shawn White aka Heem Marteen pushes his way through the industry, it is done with precision, and a concept that revolves around creativity. If Heem Marteen sounds familiar, the name originated from Hennessy & Martini. One would think the origins came from consumption, but it came from Mr. White’s younger days as an up and coming MC in which he was known to have an intoxicating flow. Heem Marteen uses the microphone as his paint brush to depict life as how he sees it in order to make his verbal’s translate into visuals for the listener. Marteen hails from the Bay Area - Vallejo, CA - Country Club Crest Neighborhood to be exact. Heem Marteen’s inspiration came from the likes of the late great Mac Dre, PSD, Dubee, Mac Mall, and others that he had chance to see first hand while growing up in the Bay Area. He also credits his style to the Bay Area Hyphy Movement. However, he maintains his individual sense of style with his unique wordplay as well as laid back delivery. One major theme for Heem Marteen’s music is to relay a message that people of all ages can relate to without all the negativity that is so prevalent in today’s Hip Hop music. Heem Marteen’s past projects include: Go Bigg Music presents The All in Compilation, DL Da Arsuns Next Level Mixtape, Wash House Music presents 3c's Game Plan Compilation, and various other features with Bay Area Artists and Mixtapes. Marteen is currently in the studio recording his untitled debut album. He is working with various producers such as OMEN, Honorable C-Note, Ford Productions among others in order to get the perfect sound to his soon to come masterpiece.Make no mistake about it, Heem Marteen has big plans, and he won’t stop until his imprint has taken him to the next level.
