Some things just naturally compliment each other: A pitcher of iced

Some things just naturally compliment each other: A pitcher of iced
tea on a hot Atlanta day; A slick pair of Jordans on a crisp new
outfit; A fresh set of rims on a newly painted Chevy; And June Bug and
South Paw-Atlanta's hottest, most talented, most versatile, and most
promising musical duo to come out of the city with the musical Midas
Touch since Outkast in the early 1990's.
But you would be hard pressed to put a label on this dynamic duo, who
appropriately call themselves "Grade A". And forget the easy
comparisons. With a style and sound that redefines the term unique,
these two gentlemen promise to set a new standard in the music
industry, and bring back an era where talent and creativity trumped
what has now become an unpleasantly familiar state of blandness and
canned unoriginality.
Blessed with lyrical abilities that are both rugged and raw, and also
elegant and seductive, these two lyrical assassins are already making
massive inroads on the underground circuit with their recently
released smash hit, Can't Count.
But they haven't stopped there, and have pushed the envelope even
further with their infamous production skills, and are often sought
after by discerning artists in the music game-both newcomers and
established artists. Those who a re serious about their production and
require producers with a high level of skill and creativity have come
to know that Grade A represents the realness of the streets, and a
production that assures an unmistakable and uncompromisingly
sophisticated sound.
Call it the best of both worlds.
Its very hard to find this level of talent in an industry that has for
too long relied on rehashed beats, garden-variety production, and the
kind of elementary rhymes that have helped bring Hip Hop to a point
where it resembles a one trick pony. But Grade A is a refreshing
departure from that, and promises to usher in a new era in the game.
Call them Hip Hop's equivalent of Bat Man and Robin, here to save the
day for the genre.
Who are these musical mavens' main sources of inspiration? It varies.
From the classic soul sounds of the legendary Curtis Mayfield and
Aretha Franklin, to the Hip Hop vanguard Jay Z, these two fellas are
the real deal and have accumulated a respect and appreciation for the
music that culminates in a sound that is refreshingly futuristic, and
yet comfortably familiar.
Both June Bug and South Paw are Atlanta born and bred, and have honed
their chops in studios and on stages across the Southern map.
Currently in demand on the touring circuit, they can be seen and heard
gracing stages across the Southern states, and when not wowing crowds,
they can be found in their base studio, Advanced Studios in Jonesboro,
Georgia.
Grade A: Raw. Refined. Real. Ready. Hip Hop can't wait and it ain't ready.
