Brutal Assault is a band built by the influence of so many styles... Some people allways say "this is melodic death metal", some others might say "this is groove metal", you can even hear "this is deathcore", "this is technical death metal" among other things, but the truth is... There's nothing more but brutality here man and that´s the only important thing of it all... Brutal assault is just that... A Brutal Assault to the senses... To the senses of all of you who still feel that rush of energy through your body each time the brutality kicks in...Brutal Assault, as a proyect, has its roots in Guacara-Carabobo (Venezuela), back in 2005, when Leonardo Bracho (Singer), Hector Castillo (Guitar) and Luis Fraino (Drums) made a band called Cautery... Only a few months later, due to several reasons, they decided to not keep going with that band, and all of them started playing with other people; Throughout those five years Luis Fraino started playing with the hardcore band Cruel Veronica, Hector Castillo co-founded the band Cuarto Magno as a drumer and the other guys were at the same time playing within some proyects such as Arsenico, Ejecucion amogn others. Some time after that Bryan Millan (Bass) and Jean Paul Arcay (Guitar) started playing in Cuarto Magno and became bandmates with Hector Castillo.In mid-march 2010 the proyect came out to the light once again and just a few months later they decided to record some old and new songs to take the band as seriously as possible. That process was made with Jean Paul as main producer, it was recorded at his homestudio and was finally released as the band's first demo. At the same time the former members of "CAUTERY" decided to resume the project with a new name "BRUTAL ASSAULT" by Luis Fraino suggestion taken from the famous festival with the same name.When it all finally took shape, completing the band was just a matter of time. Jean Paul joined the band and so did Bryan Millan. And it was when it all began as we know it today. The band started playing around and they found that special energy they were looking and longing for, they found power, agression, technisism, and a lot of brutality... Besides the guys were friends for a very long time and the band chemestry between them wast just sublime. It felt like another musical family expansion.After having several good songs to record the guys went back to the studio and started recording their first homonimous (and independent) production, to be released mid-december this year... Just Hoping to be able to show the whole world what Venezuela is made of... What are WE made of... And just hoping to unleash the Brutal Assault in all of their live presentations...
