Born David E Long but known to the musical world of Hip Hop as David E Beats, this 20-year-old music genius is now creating a name for himself. As a child, he grew up in one of Washington D.C roughest neighborhood. Although he lived in a single-parent home, he made sure to stay out of trouble. Writing poems, painting and playing flute were the gist of his existence.
He started to develop an interest in Hip Hop music at the age of 15, when he bought his first Rap CD ever ‘’The Blueprint- Jay Z’’. He developed a knack for putting words together and soon started to rap, getting on the scene and battled other rappers. At 17, his interests turned more to the production side. He received more than 9000 plays on his Myspace music page in only 2 months. One of his beats ‘’ So Paranoid’’ on soundclick.com hit the 2 on all the charts with like 30 000 hits. He has over 500 beats that he describes as ‘’ versatile, passionate and really catchy’’. This maverick, music-maven producer is continuing to build a hefty catalogue.
His work has been credited for (New York Rap artist) JUMZ single ‘’Pressure” for his upcoming LP ‘’Back From 95’’, Aerias from Chicago for the single ‘’Halfway to heaven’’ that he performed all over the US, and Ohio-based rapper Dominique Larue for her single ‘’Toast to the Nightlife”. He also works with indie artists on a regular basis.
Inspired by the likes of Swizz Beats, Mad Lib, Fefe Dobson, and Kanye West, David E beats is far from being a one-dimensional producer. He has been diligently working hard for the past year to break through the music industry. Those who have followed his path know that his interest in exploring new productions keeps on growing.
Keep a keen eye and a sharp ear on this soon-to be Hip Hop ‘s new sensational beatmaker!

The up-and-coming artist is ready to release his third smash hit
Fresh off releasing his first introductory project ''David E Beats Blvd'' including Walk In" (featuring RNB) and ''Her Features (featuring Nate), the first official singles released; Hip Hop artist David E Beats is now releasing his heavily anticipated third single ''Ain't What It Seems'' featuring singer Nu'Reya.

''Ain't What It Seems'' is a David Bowie sampled banger with hard-hitting drums and true-to-life lyrics. The current state of the Hip Hop scene spawned the idea of the song.

''The Hip Hop game is not just about music anymore; it's about Politics and Money. You have to disregard everything you know about the industry.
He adds: ''My first project was heralded as an instant classic by my fans! Hip Hop is not dead, it's very much alive; it's just not what it seems. My goal is to continuously produce great music;be the best, period. I want to produce music that people can dance, cry and relate to. Music in general has a tremendous importance in my life. I am Music''

“Producer’s Spotlight” David E. Beats Interview
When did you first realize you have a passion for creating music?
I’d have to say recently, when working on my debut album where I am rapping and producing. The amount of time and effort I put into each song, I had to be passionate. I realized then that this is something I can do for the rest of my life, just making many types of songs, loving and appreciating music in all forms.
What inspires or inspired you David to create your own unique sound?
I’d have to say my heavy Rock and RNB background. Coupled with the fact that on a daily basis I’ll listen to several different genres of music, excluding Rap. Don’t listen too much of that anymore.
Mostly Nirvana, Led Zepplin… Lots of Kanye, Yeah Yeah Yeah, yknow. Some Wes Montgomery, and a few indie bands here and there.
What artist/producers do you see as your primary inspirations?
Kanye mainly, and that’s because of what he became. Someone who was pushed to the side ended up becoming bigger than them. It gives hope, and forces me to make great music to become great.
Although you may not have years in the business do you have a favorite musical project that you have worked on? Or is it to early to declare a favorite.
Well I have my debut! It’s currently my favorite, but it’s also my only. I’m very proud of it, I feel it’s on a totally different level then what is expected from an unsigned artist. It’s on the level of a major artist debut, the songs and quality are just superior to just about everyone in my league.
What can we expect from David E Beats in the future?
I have a very grand vision for my life. You can expect me to be the greatest, at rapping; producing; even playing instruments. Expect the best shows, best songs, and constant growth.
Do you have any advice for anyone interested in become music producers?
Just be yourself at all times. Don’t copy other producers to get on, yea that may get you placements but you wont have any work in the long run. Develop your own style, and find an artist you click with, then make that artist #1 on Billboard with your song. Then you will constantly have work.
As we know producing can take up much of your time but what do you like to do outside of working on music?
Normal nerdy things, like play Soul Calibur 2 or Final Fantasy 12. Or watch anime, or hang with my girl.
I like to shop, love buying skinny jeans and sneaks, but I’m bout to move over to the dress shoes.
We all know the about Dr. Dre’s and Timberlands, but what makes you stand out in this industry?
Cuz I’m David E Beats. There is no other David E Beats. I am a brand, a character that’s larger than life and fresher than most. No one makes beats quite like me because no one has gone through my life and learned how I learn, or think how I think. What makes me is a combination of experience, passion and drive.
Since there has been an increase in this technology how do you feel about the use of the Vocoder and Auto tune when it comes to music?
I use it mainly for effect but never to actually correct pitch. I only work with trained musicians and singers, no amateurs, so there’s no need to “make” someone sound good through autotune. Like on my song “Davey’s World” off my debut; I’m using autotune on the singer for effect, but the singer is great without it.
Do you have a favorite beat that once you hear it, it just makes you go crazy? If so, what is that beat.
Currently it’s the Keri Hilson “Knock You Down” instrumental. I think the beat leaves a lot of room for her amazing vocals and is one of those types of beats that sound a million times better with vocals.
Because you are still considered new in this industry do you play by your own set of rules or follow what has made others successful at their craft?
I play by the rules mainly because my PR makes me. But I’ve come to realize that to make it you have to approach this like a job and yes, you must play by a certain set of rules. But the rule of conforming to the current sound to sell records is one I don’t follow, mainly because all that does is make you flop faster. Being you and making great songs is my only rule.
If you can make music for one artist either living or dead who would they be and why?
hrmmmmm, that’s’ a toughie. I’m really open to everyone. I’d love to do a beat for Soulja Boy or Jeezy. Yea, I’m open to any artist, as long as they’re dope!

David E Beats Releases Second Single 'Her Features by top40charts.com NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ PDG Public Relations) - One week after releasing his first mix-tape debut "David E Beats Blvd", which received tremendous success among his peers and online (with features on AllHiphop.com, Dcrap.com, DJ Heat website and radio plays on 89.9 FM in North Carolina), DMV-bred-now-New York artist David E Beats releases his highly anticipated second single "Her Features featuring R&B singer Nate.
Her Features" is a very up-tempo, 1920s-swing style instrumental with a complimentary flow.
The song is about a special relationship one feels with his woman.
It is dedicated to lovers. The lyrics come from past experiences and also from conversations he had with women.
Most of the lyrics in this song were taken from a particular conversation I had with my current lover. She was always complaining about her looks but I felt as if she was perfect in herself. I decided to dedicate the song to her, and she; in turn, loved it".
David E Beats chose to collaborate with R&B artist Nate from New York City.
The collaboration was amazing; the chemistry we shared was remarkable! Nate is very talented and definitely hones his skills. When it comes to the song, I am sure that it will speak to anyone who is in love.

''David E Beats Blvd'' Does your name have a specific meaning?
Yes. The definition of Boulevard is a broad street, often tree-lined. I use it as a metaphor to stress the fact that I draw from multiple musical styles. I make music on such a broad scale that it can be interpreted and loved by all who happen to listen to it; and isn’t that what making music is all about?
For those who haven't heard about you yet, what would you like them to know?
That I will always be better; that each album shall be exponentially better than the last. As I learn new instruments; such as the guitar I am currently learning now, my music will grow and take on new shapes and forms. In short, don’t get used to a certain sound; I always aim for change!
You’re a producer/Rapper at twenty; at what age did you produce your first beat?
At 17, and it took me a few weeks to fully finish it. But like Aristotle said, the first step is the hardest, and once that obstacle is cleared you will wonder why it was so difficult in the first place.
You’re influenced by the likes of Swizz Beats, Fefe Dobson and the Decemberists, any plans on reaching out to them for future collabos?
Definitely, I am open to collabs with anyone actually. I’d love to do a song with Soulja Boy and Jeezy when I will have the opportunity.
Do you have a different approach to mark your name in the game?
The best approach is to remain true to your own interests and tastes. Trends change, sound evolves, and with it you must evolve as well, but always keep your general style. It may be hard at first, but I will become loved for doing what makes me happy.
What happened with Wale?
The situation with Wale was one where I had an opportunity and passed on it. My cousin saw him at a Downtown Locker Room in Wake Forest Mall, MD. Back when he was a local artist I heard he often frequented that mall. My cousin said that Wale was looking for new instrumentals and he told him I had the best beats in DC. My cousin came to my studio, and told me the story. I was 18 at the time, and saw no real future for myself. I ended up never sending Wale a single instrumental, and watched him blow up locally and nationally. I still kick myself for doing that.
Are you watching the new artist in the game that is exploding rapidly? Do you think they will have an on going success?
There are a few artists back home I think may make it. But as far as the unsigned crowd I haven’t heard too much music that will lead me to think they will blow, except for my boy Phil Ade, and Kendall Elijah. These 2 guys are extremely talented and I am currently producing a project for Kendall and contributing to Phil’s.
You produced and wrote all the music for your project, will you consider rapping over other producers beats? And if so which producer you would like to work with?
I would love to rap over other producer’s instrumentals. I often rap over my friend’s Prophecy’s instrumentals, as his laid back style often compliments my heavier, up-tempo beats. I love instrumentals with a full, orchestrative sound, similar to a lot of Rick Ross’ later works, and older Kanye works. I’d love to work with Swizz Beats, Just Blaze, and a few select rock bands.
What are you working on now?
I just finished producing a whole album for a artist, and I am currently working on a 10 track mixtape with Kendall Elijah. I also formed a band, and will work on a live instrumentation album fusing hard rock, blues, and rap. I am also working on another rap album where I produce, and write, all the songs. I am still thinking on a title. I am working on a freestyle mixtape as well. I am preparing to do a college tour circuit and a festival tour circuit but these are far into the future. I keep busy.
Let us know where we can vibe with David E Beats oh and before I rap this up are you twittering?? (lol)
