People of New Orleans

I had visited New Orleans shortly before Katrina hit, had a great time and met a lot of incredible people. The idea of all those good folks in this beautiful, historical pocket of our nation being wiped out of their homes, separated from their families, stranded without food or any means at all, terrible crime, people dying... Absolutely heartbreaking. I wrote this the day after Katrina broke the levees. Thank you for listening and voting.
