Description
This is a true story, written by me. My wife and I had decided to get a divorce and that night I got up around 3 am and this came out. I read it when I woke up and realized it said exactly what I couldn't say to her. Two ships pass and don't see eachother, two fools talk and don't hear a thing. This song saved my marriage because it proved to her I loved her above anything even if I didn't know how to say it.
Lyrics
It's four in the morning. And I hear you packin' clothes. I know you said you didn't love me but I never thought you'd go. Baby sit down here beside me. Maybe we can work this out. Your the one thing in my life. I can never be without. Chorus It's a fool's conversation. We're having here at dawn. You said love would last forever. Now it's barely holdin' on. If you could read my heart. I know that you would see. Not a man out there can love you. Half as much as me. V.2 I know that it aint easy. And you're tired of the fight. But walkin' out on true love. To me just don't seem right. There's just gotta be a way. Somethin' I can do or say. To make you change your mind. And give me one more try. Chorus. It's a Fool's conversation. We're havin' here at dawn. You said love would last forever. Now it's barely holdin' on. If you could read my heart. I know that you would see. Not a man out there can love you. Half as much as me.
