This song is about being so lost that choosing your heart or your mind in a diemma of love doesn't even matter because a past love has brought you so far down that it feels like your heart and your mind don't even exist inside you anymore. I myself had a past love that in many ways made me lose all hope. I would like to think this is evident while listening to the words of the song, as this is some of the most personal music I've ever written.
