Description
I have always been fascinated with the character of Boo Radley from "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. I have never been able to shake the image of him peering out from behind curtains down at the children in the story. So, I took some of the imagery surrounding Boo Radley and put them in a modern context.
Lyrics
I watch you walking From the window of my big ole house I dont get out much I stay quiet and as small as a mouse Got your pictures pasted in my room Got your panties and your high heel shoes I get up early But sometimes you like to make me wait You know how girls are Always primping Always casually late I see your boyfriends car pull up the drive Kiss him hello Wave mom goodbye While I Sit and stare And play in empty rooms Hide behind the curtains Cutting out paper dolls and moons And I wait for you Always I wait for you My dress is casual A standard psychopaths attire No nipple ring No tattoo No deformaties No evil smile You see I want to be just like you Your so plain I envy you It's getting late And we both know you should be home in bed If you'd just asked me If you'd just took the time to telephone Instead You want to play your games with me But I'll get even wait and see While I Sit and stare And play in empty rooms Hide behind the curtains Cutting out paper dolls and moons And I wait for you Always I wait for you
