LYRICS: Poetry is nice, but it’s more than just our words It’s in the silent nights and in the mysteries of the world Poetry is nice, but my downfall’s always been Too much fluff and beauty, too much waltz and spin Too much “ease them into it” Forget that I’m uneasy Too much pleasing everyone Don’t let them know you’re bleeding So it’s come to this: I don’t know if I believe myself Slip into it; this mask is cold but warm to everyone else So it’s time to believe my own lines To accept all my lies I am good I am fine, happy and light This is it, this feels so right Like it should, this is good, I am good I am good Call me what you like, but a rose is still a rose Put me in a box and I will wither like a ghost Call me what you like, sure if it helps put you at ease I am God and you are God and we all are on our knees Praying to each other like We can’t make our own blessings We are what we do in life And not our second guessings
