Lyrics

(watin in line) Verse 1: Couple years outta high school it couldnt get better, practice all day and play my saxophone forever. First day in the big city never would i guess that everybody in the place would now behold me as the best (yes!). Im the major player, famous artist. "You never know whatcha gonna get" well save it Forest. Used to play sax in 6th grade well change is hardest. All the people at the party for me say "play it for us". And im gettin all the ladies to scream "hey bang the chorus!" And im tellin all the labels I see to pay me more of it. Sometimes when im stuck and im down on my luck then my conscious pop up and say--- Chorus: (x2)As the good men fall and the bad men die Im sittin here just watin in line time aint kind to me, im a runaway tourist and im lost in the city... Verse 2: Im obnoxious, stop this! hand open no coin drop middle finger flip flops up rough luck not a single buck so I walk away... i am hated by the locals im just tryin to get payed as i walk on to the next block, i pep talk -"you knocked their socks off, ya dog you da boss, got to your spot, got it locked you dont need to care about them!"- So i grin as I set up shop new block new chance same face slow dance -"great amount of romance"- probably not, for I feel im gettin older honestly im not that hot. -"my music is the best around"- Ive been searching like im crazy but my minds not in the lost and found. Chorus: (x2)As the good men fall and the bad men die Im sittin here just watin in line time aint kind to me, im a runaway tourist and im lost in the city... Verse 3: As i write; Dear Mom, This is your son, hows dad doin? is his garden still boomin number 1 in the neighborhood? well yeah im doin good, but time flies more quickly in the city then it ever should. And ive had a lot of too much time to think Ive learned a lot of lessons through depression in the blink of an eye. Seems the more that I try, that the life of my saxophone turnes into a great big lie... -"That you made for yourself, your lack of direction, it aint good for your health"- (man what you talkin about) -"but that aint the way that you always felt, when ya had all the women and liquor up on your shelf"- Man im gettin sicker, these no brain jobs I quit quicker. Im thicker, im tougher, and im rougher tell my sister that I miss her, and that I want to come home P.S. Im writing you this letter cuz I lost my phone. Chorus: (x4)As the good men fall and the bad men die Im sittin here just watin in line time aint kind to me, im a runaway tourist and im lost in the city...
