Description
This song was written, for what it seems like, the very purpose of this competition. It is basically a self imposed challenge to create music that means something to myself and others, while staying true to who you are as a person and an artist. It was also an excuse to record a song that had a very loud, declarative electric guitar melody as that type of music ignites the fire in my bones.
Lyrics
The strip's lit up with lights To guide the seeking and blind Where no one's on your side All smiles and empty tonight What you gonna do, honey When it gets through to you It's kind of like love in L.A. Is it even there? Jesus on Main St. and nobody cares Scars and Freeways will always be here Looks like you're living but you're dying of fear The scenes; they're all the same Different faces and names You say you need a change Wind up stuck in the same old games What ya gonna do, honey When it gets through to you
