So I practice the art of lovin` from afar. I also fall in love at least 4 times a day. I got done playing a set at a local bar here in Portland and saw the girl of my dreams, and decided to see whats up. As I came near I saw a man bringin my girl a drink. Well in real life he won the war, but in my head this is how it went down.

And so it starts, the way it was. I was down because. I couldn`t find, the love I know could be mine and so I`d go. Make a fool, play the game. Lovers come and lovers came. And so it was, until I saw, the one who could change it all. Chorus: So I came near but still so far, I did not notice the guy at the bar. Closing in, drink in hand. Seems my girls got another man. So I step back and plan my attack. Chorus: So it comes down, to me and mr. clown. A duel to the death for her love I guess. Turns out he knew more kung foo then I do. When I came to I was outside of my shoes. The man was gone, but she remained, said something like hey boy are you ok. I said "hey baby" Oh and so she carried me home and you know how the rest goes. Chorus: She could be my only girl I could be there in her world. Come and save the day, we could fly away. She could lose her other guy I`ll teach my feet to fly and catch her where she stands, I just wanna be her superman.
