Lyrics

I feel like a scalene triangle trying to fit inside a square, I don't belong there. I could try my hardest to fit in with just one side, Or I could hide. I don't share their right angle. There's so many points from which I must untangle- Why they think it's not okay to have my own life, Be a loving mother but nobody's wife. I think it's okay for I know what I can be With all my different angles inside me- Scalene. Designer jeans, a diamond ring, a string of pearls, I'm not those girls. They think that they can exclude me cause I don't fit in their norm, I wont conform. I don't share their right angle. There's so many sides from which I must untangle- They think it's not okay for me to be alone, Pursue the dreams and talents that I own. But I think it's okay for I know that I can be Fine beyond their conformity- Scalene. I can see them in their coats of jealous green. Are they threatened by me ‘cause they really want to be scalene? They think it's not okay to dance to your own song. They fear that they will not belong. But I think it's okay for I know what I can be- An example of individuality- Scalene.
