Runnin' late and pushing the children out the door. Put your shoes on in the car, 'cause I can't wait for you anymore. A million thing left undone as I pull out of the drive It's days like these I feel like I've completely lost my mind. I've got a show to do and a wolf bangin' at my door My day's used up before my feet even hit the floor. And in this world of chaos.... Sometimes I wonder what I do it for. I look into the back seat through the rear view mirror. I see my child back there and silently I watch her. She's got her eyes shut tight and a smile ten feet wide. She's listening to the radio and she's dancing in her mind. She's got a partner with her that I cannot see My heart fills up with joy just knowing she's that free. And in this world of chaos..... She still finds time to dream. The lights are blinding as I step out on the stage. I'm searching through the crowd Because I know I'll find your face. I know this life I've chosen sometimes seems insane. But we both know that I couldn't have it any other way.
