im tired of songs about love and how its all wrong oh and i feel so alone thoughts through my head layin in my one person bed in a one person home well i lay and see that spot next to me i start to sing cause a song comes to mind oh every time and i listen to the same old tune of silence of nothing of sleepless nights and it haunts me to think that the song that i sing was written by me to many long summer nights spent by the telephone wouldnt it be great just to finally hear it start to vibrate but the silence goes on and on i can feel my heart sink the thought crosses my mind maybe im wastin all this time on a phone ring so i sit and see a phone that wont ring and i start to sing cause a song comes to mind oh everytime and i listen to the same onld tune of silence of nothing of sleepless nights and it haunts me to think that the song that i sing it wont change till i change stays the same everyday so i start to think just maybe what i need maybe i need a change maybe i am to blame so i listen to a different tune of happy of sad of everything and i smile when i think that the song that i sing was written by me
