Description

Carmelite Hill: This is a song about a place, a hill, not too far from the house I grew up in. I 'd say it's not much more than a mile. Atop the hill sits Carmelite Seminary and atop the seminary sits a Cross. At night the Cross is lit from within itself. I would go to sleep at night looking at the Cross on Carmelite Hill. Anyway this song came out that experience. I hope you enjoy it. Sincerely, Peter L. Warburton

Lyrics

Carmelite Hill written by Peter L. Warburton. Theres a light that I know on Carmelite Hill It shines every night in wild weather or still It's not a street light nor a spot light no, no But it's Gods' light from that Cross aglow When i was but a boy into bed i would get Sleep would come i would fidget and fret Unless I could see the light from that Cross aglow For my night light was the bright light on Carmelite Hill My bed was positioned just so Through the window i could see that Cross aglow Sleep would not come with blind set to low For my night light was the bright light on Carmelite Hill I am a grown man and and the light it stil burns I live far away now but for to see it I yearn For when i was a boy It brought me comfort and joy It drove terror and fright Far away every night With my head upon the pillow Through the window i'd see Carmelite glow There's a light that I know on Carmelite Hill It shines every night in wild weather or still It's not a street light nor a spot light no, no But it's Gods' light from that Cross aglow.
