This is a song that was written in the mist of a heart break. Anyone that's done had their heart broken can relate; rather it was puppy , teenage or grown folks love. Well my heart was broken; my heart was broken so bad I wanted to crawl into a corner, stick my hand in my chest and pull my heart out to stop the pain. I could not believe I could experience so much pain that was not physical but emotional. And that pain is what led me to write Why Does Love Hurt Like This.
