Kings of the Boulevard

This song is about returning to the South Jersey shore town of Wildwood as an adult. I have fond memories of summers there as a child, teenager and college student. Conventional wisdom states that the realities never live up to the memories, but my experience was not as disillusioning as the song implies. In fact, I had a great time and hope to go back, but who wants to hear a song about how much fun it was to go home again.
