My Ship

This song was inspired by someone I know who was estranged from her father. My take is that the dad does not feel worthy of such a fine person and vows to get his life together so he IS worthy. Of course, it is just talk because people don't change. He even manages to blame both God and the Devil for his problems and not himself. He's a sad case, but not at all uncommon.
