i don't wanna be an activist no more. i just wanna be a musician. i don't know if im either one. unless you loosen up the definitions. i don't know if i was ever an activist. im more of a blogger/bitcher. its hard to say what activism is. people wear so many hats under that flag. well you don't hafta get arrested. you don't even hafta be principled. you don't even hafta have a point. you don't even hafta have a purpose. it seems anymore. activism's gone the way of punk. teenage angst. disobey to disobey. it may seem juvenille. even if you've based your actions on what seems to you to be solid intellectual positions, all they see is you being a punk. what the fuck. but if i wanna be a musician, maybe i should start playing music. im more of a noiseician. i just wanna make a racket. so who's to say that's not activism, am i not still throwing my hat into the ring? when all the songs i want to sing still carry the same flag. just another man in black.
