Lyrics
I hung the lights along the roof. You cleared a place in the living room. Then, we hiked a day through the woods To find the right Christmas tree. On the way and back we had fun. You asked me what I wanted when Santa comes. There's no better gift I can think of Then the love that I have with you. The sweetest gift we have Didn't come with fancy ribbons. It's the love we share, The gift that keeps on giving. They could wrap the world for me Served on a silver plater But, without you in it It just doesn't matter. There's a glass angel On our Christmas tree But a real angel Sittin' next to me. One wears a silver halo The other wears a band of gold. The angel sent to me Angel sittin' next to me. You're all I ever wanted. You're the answer to my prayer. Now I know there's a Heaven, 'Cause you're love takes me there. The sky looks dark, A cold wind blows. It looks as if we might get snow. By the fire we'll stay warm Under the mistletoe. We decorated that Christmas tree With help from friends and family With presents wrapped so beautifully. Some for you ~ some for me. But the sweetest gift we have Didn't come with fancy ribbons. It's the love we share The gift that keeps on givin'. They can wrap the world for me Served on a silver plater. But without you in it It just wouldn't matter. There's a glass angel On our Christmas tree And a real angel Sittin' next to me. On wears a silver halo, The other wears a band of gold. The angel sent to me. Angel sitting next to me.
