Quarter Mile was written for 2 time Land Speed Record Holder, Valerie Thompson. Her motto is that she lives life a "Quarter Mile" at a time. The phrase caught Jeff so much that he wrote the song for Valerie. She is now circulating it around the NHRA race circuit.
