The throne of the Lord God before me, I bow and I tremble with fear. The great Book of Life has been opened, My thoughts and my deeds shall appear. Each action of love and of mercy, Each word that was spoken in hate. All there, all recorded forever, I look to the throne and I wait. What merit have I from a life time, I lived in my own selfish way? What credit is there for a duty, Performed grudgingly day by day? But I have a Saviour in Jesus, He stands now between me and God.
