I wrote this song in a Motel 6 hotel room in Nashville, TN. I had been on the road a few weeks, and I was just weighing the decisions of my life and career into a single moment. I was contemplating my past route, and my future path in life, and really just examining the true purpose behind my music. While I felt my career was in a needed transition point, I ultimately came to the conclusion that I should keep going and seek the music first ahead of everything else I had been concerned with.
