Description
I don't own a T.V. because it turns my brain to mush. For years, I had a lyrical idea for a song about the bad news on T.V. which I could no longer watch because I could see how history tragically repeats itself. When Novalee, the co-writer on this song asked me to write and record some lyrics, melody and vocals for some of his instrumentals, the lyrical idea finally found a musical home. It was a perfect match (in my opinion).
Lyrics
The box to write a song description isn't showing up, so here it is in the lyrics box. Another co-write with the album producer Novalee. I had the lyrical idea for years, and when the producer gave me some instrumental tracks, the one used for this song and the lyrical idea fit perfectly. Essentially, it's about how bad news seems to repeat itself throughout history and how we watch and hear about it on TV every night, giving us a sense of doom. I take the liberty to turn the TV off in the song and dance instead.
