Description
Another written around the same painful breakup as COOL DADDY. This song features my wonderful guitarist, RICK MOUSER, with a SLIDE and a TALKBOX (that "Peter Frampton hose" in his mouth thingy) during the central instrumental lead break! We had so much fun creating this one - truly a collaboration on the guitar-layering. Me, well, I emulate Robert Plant and Steven Tyler as Siamese twins....LOL! Hope you enjoy the track despite the gut-wrenching lyric exposing my pain at the time...
Lyrics
DRY WELL by kimayriemorris c1988/2011 In all my days of trying, Never met a man I trust, Now I only tolerate, But only if I must, Prove it to me, baby, Tell me you won't lie, Give me one good reason, now, Why I should even try... Every day I wonder, Every day I know, This thing that I been searching for, Ain't never gonna show, So prove it to me, ba - ay - ay - ay - yay - bay, Now this I gotta hear, uh huh, Well you ain't never gonna love me, no no no, Or give me anything remotely near.... instrumental guitar virtuoso break! Now that you're gone, This crumbled heart, Would give you one more chance, Well, I don't want to marry you, I only want to dance, Get a little romance, now, I wanna give you one more try, But I don't know why, Well, I guess I really love you, boy, Cuz I was sure that this well ran dry.....
