I wrote “Three Years” about a couple who goes their separate ways and three years later, meets again. The girl won’t admit her love for her former beau. This song is partly true–I took what happened and “ran with it.” So much in life is “set in stone,” but songwriting has no “correct answer,” which is why it’s my passion.
