Walkin’ Shoes ….…. nanci hobson October 2011 Good morning….reality… Burnt toast….no coffee… Dirty dishes in the sink… Computer’s down… nothin’ to eat I tried to turn the TV on…. It doesn’t work ….the signals gone… And I can’t…fix it this time.. Cause I don’t have…a frickin’ dime… the list grows longer every day… Everything I own…has gotten so old…. even the dog doesn’t bark no more… I’m getting’ tired…of singin’ blues… I’m putting on my walkin’ shoes… I need to find….a new attitude.. …. I need to find my walkin’ shoes…. I’ll probably feel better sitting in a bar But gas costs so much…I can’t drive too far oil companies have a …record year I can’t afford… a four dollar beer… If I knew the right people…made the right noise I could get a bailout like the Wall Street Boys… only chance I have… for a bailout here… Is to buy a scratch ticket…and say a prayer. the list grows longer every day… our jobs are gone…can’t find a loan.. ‘cause even the banks don’t work no more…. This country wasn’t born to sing the blues We need to find some walkin’ shoes These politicians need a new attitude… Let’s give them all their walkin’ shoes… This country wasn’t born to sing the blues Oh yea……….it’s time.
