Description
One of those songs that just fell onto my plate in about three minutes one December morning. There is that three week or so grace period after New Years where everything seems kind of in limbo. The sunrises are poignant and the air clean.
Lyrics
April is the time for love And May brings the flowers of course June is all sunshine July is all moonshine And the August heat is up much too high September the leaves begin to change Where as October haunts the memory November and December bring the family I'm so glad it's January The holiday cheer is over The frost is beginning to settle in And those with any sense at all are nestled in a hole dug for themselves I'll take a walk in the predawn The whole town quietly asleep It'll be my own private sanctuary I'm so glad it's January I'm not saying I don't like the summer or the spring It's just that some islands are made for shipwrecks And some times are made to be alone So just let me pretend That there is no such thing as February Let me wander in this revery I'm so glad it's January
