Description

This is a cute little pop-punk song I wrote and recorded about my buddy Grant and his obsession with a girl who lived far away and managed to completely color the way he saw the world. Everything you hear was performed by me, and I recorded it all in my apartment in the San Fernando Valley. It's a fairly high energy little rocker.

Lyrics

The lights are off. There's only 7000 here, and they're all asleep tonight. And through my breath, I've never seen it looks so clear. Never felt it feel so right. The air is still, but somehow I can taste the sweet. And the absence of the weight. And in the yard the pines and hopwoods hold the street, which is thin and long and straight. So as I write, the midnight moonlight in the snow... And the wine helps make it glow. But I wanted you to know that there's so many places you'll go, But so few feel like you're home In Wisconsin Now all the hope, and all the chances that you've missed, on the path it's clearly shown. And every sigh, every gesture, every kiss... like the first you've ever known. Through every door, down every corner something new From a long, long time ago When the world moved very slow. Where they hold your disappointment so close, that you feel you can let it go. In Wisconsin. Let us go. With all those years of looking back, And all those days of finding ways we were mistaken... Well, there's a place where you should know: It's a magic place where you can go And melt the snow And wash your hands of all you know. In Wisconsin. Let us go.
