Description
Q: What was the inspiration for the song Drowning man? A: Its a song written by myself and Rich Cowdrey. We wanted to create something a bit eerie. We found the opening synth sound and thought that it was reminiscent of being out on the ocean surrounded by fog. Dave Redding and Rich added some masterful guitar tracks with real emotion to it. I locked into the mood and built the lyrics around the drowning man hook. Essentially it is a song about solitude, self doubt and desperation.

“Drowning Man” Written by R. Cowdery and B. Downes © 2002 Zen Ten Music I can’t see I’m blinded with every step I’m reminded visions scream in color but my eyes are black and white like a shadow without a light like my last breath before I walk into the light Drowning man going down for the last time drowning man going down for the very last time I can’t speak I’m grounded with every move I make visions scream I’m going under see you when I wake like the sun on a rainy day I can’t see the light above Drowning man going down for the last time drowning man going down for the very last time
