Description
The song, 287, written by, Landry McMeans, was inspired by summer tours spent with her band along the strip of highway 287 that stretches through the Rocky Mountain Range between Fort Collins, Colorado and Laramie, Wyoming. The Heroes have made this region a staple on their tour itinerary.
Lyrics
It won't be long until I cannot breathe Grow my gills back and tan my feet We're taking 287 all the way from the Swing Station to Laramie We'll be taking down whiskey and taking down wine Taking all of the high roads for a hell of a time Popping off black cats for the fourth of July Busting our bottle rockets two at a time So Let's build up the fire pit and bring out the band I want to feel that beat at first hand Let's kick up the dirt and burn down a cigarette And let the night turn our bodies in to seamless silhouettes
