"Sweetness" in this songs is a way of saying "Being too polite"...or "being fake". I used to sing in a hip hop group, and wrote the chorus as a hook...and just finished the song around the chorus. The rapper is one of the artists from the hip hop group. This was written when I was frustrated when a boyfriend talked like we were business partners instead of lovers when we were trying to break things off....
