We went on our seperate paths in life,but we never stopped the music. I've always been a singer/songwriter and did well as a solo artist,and was in some very successful duos and full bands over the years.I'm producing and recording my original works with three CDs to my credit and more on the way. Now, James Folkers' path was a little different.He always had the solo thing going on, but also played in duos,trios and full bands through the years.He was a member of "On The Edge"a south florida bluegrass band for 12 years.Playing festivals throughout the southeast.Opening for Ralph Stanley,James King, IIIrd Tyme Out and others.James did studio work in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Nashville mostly as a vocalist. This led him to a 2 year position as "Florida State Representative/ Country Music Assoc.Organizing talent competitions from local to national contests.Anyway,the hurricanes chased him back up north and he started playing again and,Oh back to the story,Now it's 30 some yrs later and I saw James Folkers' name in a magazine,got his number,and low and behold it was the same person.I called him up and he asked me to sit in and play a gig with him, and we blew the dust off the rafters,like we never missed a lick.So now we've been performing for a couple months, in and around the Lancaster Pa.area. We've been doing well,getting great reviews and building a loyal following.Sometimes fate just steps in and puts you on the right path.If it feels good....do it!
