Born As Dre'mon Byrd January 9th, 1991, Malaci found his passion for music at the very early age of 12. Due to his older brother and cousins being on the music scene, he became a fan of underground hip-hop and began trying to write and freestyle anytime he was able to accompany his brothers to the studio. First started recording here and there at M-Pac Records, an indie label that was owned and ran by family members. Since he was not able to go to studio as much as he wanted there, he ventured out and started acquiring recording equipment to have his own home studio. Malaci started out with a 10-dollar Wal-Mart mic and the recording program "Cool Edit Pro". He started recording music and posting it to MySpace and then worked with various indie Labels and music groups, after generating over a thousand of plays a day and over hundred thousand views and fans. This Soon caught the attention and CEO Damon "D-Blue" Allen of Blue up ENT, an indie Label in Athens, GA. Through back and forth messages and trips to his studio and became part of the Blue Up Ent Family. Since signing with the label Malaci's music and rep has sky rocketed and has did live shows all over Athens, Atlanta and even South Carolina. On Oct 15,2011 he dropped his first mixtape "Da Freshman Takeova", which was hosted by an Atl Dj; DJ K-Slee. The mixtape generated hundreds of downloads, views and listens. It Featured hit Singles such As "Go Wild" BMF Remix" and "Hard In The Booth". His career is advancing and now his is working on his second mixtape
