But it’s the feisty female vocal tag-team that stands out most amidst all the wondrous noise erupting from the rest of the band.” -The Noise, Oct 2011Manifest encompasses a plethora of styles and would be short changed by being characterized as indie rock, alternative rock, or pop music. Though the band utilizes all of these elements, it's fair to say that this group of musicians has made a name for themselves and perform with contagious energy, a unique style, and intelligent lyrics.Manifest started back in 2009 with lead vocalist and songwriter Mellisa Zaccaria and well known independent singer/songwriter Jaime Redden. Mellisa has 9 years voice training and is currently managing the group. She belts and serenades, draws you in and spits you out. She has won song writing contests and vocal competitions, and has been a guest performer for many other local bands. Jaime Redden brings smooth sassy vocals and rhythm guitar with a serious talent for creating riffs and songwriting. Jaime, also has her own EP entitled "Same Old Stories" in which all vocals and instruments on the album were arranged and preformed by Jaime herself. Mellisa and Jaime write most of the songs and lyrics and the harmonies make Manifest's sound unique.In 2010, Steve Duff joined forces with Manifest and brings bad-ass energy and a fierce drive as the band's bass guitarist. Steve joined up with Manifest after wrapping up a short stint in the band Irontail and hopes to make music his career.In 2011 Berklee student Dave Lordan came on board as the band's lead guitar. Dave is a highly sought musician who has years of technical experience and brings superb talent and leadership to the band. Presently he is teaching guitar for Berklee Performance Center and works at a recording studio. Dave also gigs with well known Led Zeppelin cover band, Moby Dick and Rob Potylo & The Lonely Planets. He also plays with the local bands The Frog, Gold Blood and OK Potato.Most recently in 2012, we acquired Adam Lentine on drums, known for being the drummer for Captain Cutthroat, Adam has judged major performance competitions and has also won many as well! Adam brings years of experience and dynamic to the band. He also plays with Solid Hologram, Gold Blood and The Johnson Age. Last, but certainly not least, Garth Retallack sitting in on trombone. Garth came on board in 2011, he packs a punch and enhances Manifest's sound and energy. Garth also plays with Rob Potylo & The Lonely Planets, Moby Dick, and The Frog. He is presently a Jazz Band Director in Beverly.Manifest has played the Boston Freedom Rally as well as popular venues in the Boston area such as Hard Rock Cafe, TT The Bears, Cask n' Flagon, The Middle East Night Club, and many clubs in the North Shore of MA. They released their first EP in 2011 and hope to record a full length album this summer.
