She’s Not Dead are the young explosive ALL GIRL Teen Rock Band from Oregon City, that are ready to rock your world! They have been writing their own songs and continually performing weekend shows locally. Because of their young female members, they stand out from the all the guy bands out there! Songs like "Somebody Save Me"; a song many teenagers can relate to about feeling confused, alone, or suicidal. They also have made a cool controversial video for it that was filmed in a cemetery with the help of Michael Valenzuela. The song was also played on the Portland radio show called Viva La Luna. 3 of their other songs including “Not Anymore” were feature on the other local radio show called the Rock Zone. Their heaviest song "Feel Alive" proves this band can shake the ground like an earthquake! They’ve been writing new songs every week like "It's Over", "Dear Memories", "Keep Me Breathing" and have been coming up with way more very cool ideas; so be prepared to see these come alive soon, too! Even though guitarist and lead singer Kira Nesser writes most of the songs, all the other band members contribute, too. Besides creating some of the best drum parts that inspire their songs, drummer Samantha, or Sammy as everyone calls her, comes up with most of the song titles. Keyboardist Jess has helped write a new ballad to show the softer side of the band. The newest member Bassist Casi is already adding her own ideas to the mix. They are very excited to perform live and share their music with everyone. You can also check out their video for our song "Waking Up" recorded from their Hawthorne Theatre show on Oct 8th. It was a big success thanks to all our friends and fans that came and rocked out with them! They outsold all the other bands they played with at both their Hawthorne Theatre shows. They love it when fans and friends check out their new photos from their live shows and leave comments to let them know what they think! They always reply to messages and comments. They have a 7 song CD that they have been selling at their shows. Kira’s claim to fame is that she is related to Billie Joe from Green Day, through his wife Adrienne Nesser. When Green Day played in Seattle, Kira went back stage and met and talked with all the band members. The band even plays some Green Day covers, but they are very much deep into music and are influenced by many different bands like: All Time Low, VersaEmerge, Flyleaf, Kill Hannah, Hey Monday, Cobra Starship, Paramore, Blink 182, and much more... You might also want to know that they are a band that is influenced by the world around us and care about the all living creatures on this planet, so let’s think Green! With all the music that influences them, nobody can really compare them to any other band. They want you to tell them what they sound like.
