Just before their vows, they had formed a band where they began writing and recording their own worship songs. The Outpouring, as they came to be known, is an expression of their greatest desire in life–to be an outpouring of worship that generates the overflow of God's Spirit throughout their lives. Inspired by artists such as Martin Smith, Jesus Culture, Darlene Zschech, Hillsong United, Matt Redman, and more, the group is determined to be more than just musicians. They aim to be Kingdom-builders and history-makers that impact this generation through their music and through their worship.
As graduate members of the CMI Academy in Nashville, The Outpouring continues to learn from some of the top artists in Christian Music, including CMI Academy founders Phillip Larue (Larue) and Daniel Ornellas (Tree63, Worship Republic), songwriter Mia Fieldes (Hillsong Publishing, All For Love, Only A Mountain), as well as other great artists around the nation. They have also been privileged share the stage with many notable artists such as NewWorldSon, Newsboys, Jaime Grace, Third Day, Switchfoot, Sidewalk Prophets, Tenth Avenue North, and many more. Through these experiences, they have gained invaluable tools that have helped shape their music, vision, and approach to reaching this generation through their music.
In August of 2009, The Outpouring released their first full-length album entitled Victory Cry. Since then, they have released three singles–Lips And Life, Rise And Shine, and Step Into Light–all of which are part of their November 2014 release of Shake Our Foundations. In a world desperately needing God, The Outpouring is excited to join this generation of Christian artists in stimulating a powerful experience of worship worldwide.
