About Aaron Childree
Winter Park, FL
Aaron Childree is a 22-year-old pop singer/songwriter whose music combines thought-provoking lyrics and a hopeful message with memorable pop melodies and an infectious beat. Aaron’s first EP “So Much More to Say” is set to be released on September 25th, 2010 and will be available on iTunes and all other major digital distributors.
Currently based in Orlando, Florida, Aaron has built up a following by performing shows and open mics around the Orlando area as well as on-campus events at Rollins College. He is in his last year as a student at Rollins and will graduate in the spring with a degree in Music and a minor in Creative Writing. He and his band can be seen in many of Orlando’s best music venues.
Aaron got his start as a musician at an early age. He began singing at age 3. By age 8 he had taught himself to read music and began writing songs. In high school he took up guitar and piano and began performing his original songs at school functions as well as local music venues around Atlanta.
After graduating high school, Aaron headed south to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida (close to Orlando). At Rollins Aaron has studied Voice, Guitar, Piano, Musical Composition, Music Theory, and Poetry. His ongoing studies of poetry have had a huge impact on his lyrics.
Aaron’s music is a combination of his passion for songwriting, his classical training, and his everyday experiences. It takes you to a place long abandoned by many of today’s musicians- a place where poetic lyrics can be set to catchy melodies and pop music can be art.
