My grandmother’s love for gospel music What were your musical talents as a youth? At a very early age I started playing the drums along with my older cousin who would let me practice/perfect my skills with our church choirs. That catapulted me into wanting to learn more about my craft. Also at a young age I would beat box every chance I got in school talent shows. What inspired you to rap? My inspiration to rap came from listening to a variety of artist like Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Heavy D, the late greats 2pac an Notorious B.I.G, Jim Crow, U.G.K., T.I., and The Youngbloodz to name a few. A lot of my inspiration just comes from having a love for good music in general. When did you start rapping? I started rapping as a hobby at the age of 12, I started taking it serious at about the age of 15. What type of rap (ex. what genres are shown in your music)? My music is inspired by several genres of music from Modern Hip Hop, R&B, and Southern Hip Hop. What projects are you working on? Currently I’m working on my 3rd independent project titled “I Told Ya So!!” which will be released very soon on 14 Records Inc. In conjunction with Sa Sa Productions. What do you hope to achieve? What I want to achieve is to show everyone that has a dream that if you work hard and stay focused on your goals in life that no matter what you can not only reach your goals but surpass them. I also want to prove to all the critics that said “I couldn’t do it” wrong again.
