Air For Ants was Dominic Sahagun's solo music project in 2009. He started writing songs mostly at 4 and 5 in the morning, later deciding to put the songs to tape, comprising "Recess/Storytime".
Around the time of the master sessions for the album, Dominic rounded up a dedicated group of musicians to make up the live band. This group is led by cellist Yoed Nir, who plays frequently for Regina Spektor and Yael Naim.
